Tom “Durr” Dwan VS Antonius Challenge takes another pigeon step

For those of you who are still following this, the challenge has just gone over the 7000 hand mark since the 18^th of February (they haven’t exactly been going full pelt on this but they have got to make some money playing poker sometime)

There is no schedule of play for these behemoths of the poker world and playing at this pace we would guess they’ll complete this challenge sometime towards the end of this year.

For those of you just picking up on this challenge, the way the challenge works is Dwan would play his opponents at either limit Hold em or Pot Limit Omaha at four tables simultaneously. After the protracted 50,000 hands, if the challenger is up by at least a single dollar, Dwan will pay them an additional $1.5m, if he were to be up by at least that amount he would collect $500,000 from his opponent.
