Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy Joins UB

In an unexpected announcement Ultimate Bet Poker held a press conference today and announced the Cliff Josephy “JohnnyBax” has signed with UB to be one of their sponsored pros. He joins notable Pros like Phil Hellmuth and Shawn Rice.

Cliff (Johnnybax) is a legend in online poker after winning dozens of huge multitable tournaments and winning the tournament leader board at Pokerstars. He remained a mystery man for a couple of years before capturing his first WSOP bracelet in Seven Card Stud in 2005. After that everyone knew his true identity and he came to the forefront of online poker.

Ultimate Bet is hoping that JohnnyBax will bring some much needed good press to their poker room. In recent months a ton of evidence has surfaced regarding possible cheating and security breaches in their poker room. UB has yet to issue an official statement of their internal investigation, but regardless of their final review they have lost the trust of all serious online poker players.

Only time will tell if this will be a great partnership for UB or JohnnyBax. With all the great Online Poker room out there, you have to wonder why he has choose Ultimate Bet to be his poker room of choice.
