November 5th, 2008 FTOPS X Will Award Over $15 Million in Cash!

November 5^th will launch the tenth installment of widely popular Full Tilt Online Poker Series. Dubbed the FTOPS X, the semi-annual online poker event will begin with a $216 No Limit Hold’em 6 Max tournament boasting a Guaranteed Prize Pool of $1 Million Dollars. Twenty-five tournaments will be played in all and commences with a $535 Main Event buy-in and a $2.5 Million Dollar Guaranteed Prize Pool up for grabs!

The series will be played for twelve days and commence on November 15^th with over $15 Million in cash winnings to be doled out to top players. Each of the tournaments will be hosted by one of the esteemed Team Full Tilt pro’s. Some of the events will include a $256 Pot Limit Omaha Knockout tournament complete with a $200K prize pool, a $535 No Limit Hold’em event with a $300K prize pool, and a $535 Omaha Pot Limit 6 Max event offering up cash winnings of $350K.

Last year’s Main Event saw a field of about 5,000 online poker players. Every player who makes any FTOPS X event will each be awarded a limited-edition FTOPS jacket. Winners of a FTOPS X event will not only receive the jacket, but a Full Tilt Poker jersey and a customized avatar for use on the FullTiltPoker.com. The online player - ‘dubbeemin’, was the first place winner of the FTOPS IX and received $432,400 for his talented play in the series.

A notable change during this installment of the FTOPS, is the upping of the ante for their Two Day event; the buy in will be doubled to $5,200 up from $2,620 during last year’s. The special event takes places the day before the Main Event. Full Tilt is also offering any players who are the last players to be knocked out before the money in any event the opportunity to participate in their Bouncebackability Freeroll to be held on the twenty-second of November. The winner of the special Freeroll will be awarded a free buy-in into the FTOPS XI.
