Tiffany Michelle Wins Charity Poker Tournament

Tiffany Michelle, an Ultimate Bet poker pro won the huge Road 2 Recovery Charity Poker Tournament which was held last night at the MGM Grand Poker Room. The Road 2 Recovery Foundation was founded by three motorcycle riders, Jimmy Button, Bob Moore and Bob Walker. In 2000, Button was severely injured in a motorcycle accident. The three men created the charity to raise financial as well as emotional support for other injured riders.
Several top names in poker were on hand to help raise money for this admiral foundation; WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Madsen, 2006 WSOP Main Event Champ - Jamie Gold, Todd Brunson and Hoyt Corkins from Doyles Room as well as poker pro Jennifer Harman. The buy in for the tournament was $300 and if a player got knocked out, they could re-buy for $100 during the first four levels of the tournament. First prize in the event was free entry into the 2009 WSOP Main Event, valued at $10,000 was awarded to Tiffany Michelle for her brilliant play. Tiffany Michelle placed 17th in the 2008 WSOP and held the honor as the “last woman standing” during the event and she walked away with $334,000.
Second and third place finishers received a handsome watch which was designed by Curtis & Company. The charity tournament also hosted a silent auction to help raise funds which included autographed football helmets signed by Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Eli Manning, LaDainian Tomlinson and Marion Barber. Memorabilia from the boxing and wrestling arena were available for bidding as well.
