Stox Poker and CardRunners Merging.
In a big move that could shape up the dynamic of the Poker Training website world, it was revealed this week that CardRunners and Stox Poker will be merging their platforms.

Now from what I can see from the official news on their respective sites it looks as if both will be remain operating on their own platforms,  but will primarily focus on individual segments in the online poker training world.

This is definitely some very exciting news in the industry according to Taylor Caby of CardRunners .

“We’re delighted to add depth to our Poker Training resources while delivering a decisive competitive advantage to more than 14,000 members…[both in which] now have two separate platforms to choose from as well as a no-sign up fee option which many customers have requested.  Whether you are new to poker or playing nose-bleed stakes, we’ll make sure you’re ready with the top resources behind you.”

With the merge comes some pretty cool changes, mainly the removal of the $99 sign-up fee on Stox!  Stox Poker will continue to focus on their bread and butter niche - low and mid-stakes games - through classroom and live training.

On the more advanced spectrum of the virtual felt will be handled mainly by CardRunners , where high stakes instructors like Brian Townsend, Taylor Caby, and Brian Hastings do frequent coaching and training sessions for their customers.

It’ll be surprising to see what other big training sites like RealPokerTraining and PokerPwnage may do to possibly rival their now-even-more-powerful competitors….
